Cone Volume Calculator

This all-in-one online Cone Volume Calculator performs calculations using the volume formula for a right circular cone, which relates the cone volume to the height of the cone and the radius of its base. Enter the values of any two known parameters in the fields of this online calculator and find the missing one.

Right Circular Cone Volume Formula

You can use this cone volume calculator for a cone assuming it’s a right circular cone. Generally, cones are assumed to be right circular, which means that the base is a circle and the axis passes through the center of the base at right angle to its plane.

For a right circular cone the formula for the volume \(V\) is as follows:

$${\displaystyle V={\frac {1}{3}}\pi r^{2}h}$$

where \(h\) is the height of the cone, \(r\) is the radius of its base.

Note that we do not specify units of measurement in our calculator. We assume that the radius and height are measured in the same units of length, and the volume is measured in cubic units of length (e.g., m and m3).
